Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so thankful for my kinder kiddos! We had a great Thanksgiving feast at school and I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving at home as well. Here on some pictures of the kids while we made friendship salad. I had my hands full during the feast and forgot to take pictures.

Changes Caused by Heat

This week in science our class has been discussing how heat will change things. Today, we did a yummy experiment where we changed the form of popping corn into popcorn with heat. Yummm!

Election Day!

In kindergarten we are not too worried about the governors race or the senate. However, we do get to vote on a very important topic... Who is telling the truth? The 3 Little Pigs or the Wolf? We had 3 kids vote that the wolf was framed and after we read The True Story of The Three Little Pigs written by A. Wolf. However, the majority of the class believe the classic tale of the Three Little Pigs.

Say No to Drugs!

We had a FUN week dressing up while making the promise to NEVER use drugs!
  • On Monday we wore red to rally together against drugs.
  • On Tuesday we wore neon colors for our bright future without drugs.
  • On Wednesday we dressed up as what we wanted to be when we grow up.
  • On Thursday we wore our favorite college or military branch shirts. Good thing I had enough Aggie shirts to share! Whoop!
  • On Friday the kids wore super hero shirts to show their super hero powers without drugs.
What a cute little teacher. She must have a great kinder teacher to look up to. :)

There are some important future careers ahead of my class!

Most of my little friends wanted to wear one of my many A&M shirts but they kept their options open
and picked a different diploma.  I'm okay with that as long as they go to any college! However, it did warm
my heart when I realized the Aggie Tradition was rubbing off on them. WHOOP!  :)

Exploring Pumpkins

We carved a pumpkin in class and used our 5 senses. Everyone helped pull the guts out and count seeds. We had about 500 seeds in our class pumpkin. How many did seeds were in your families pumpkin?
