Science Night!

We had a great time at Science Night! All of the students learned some cool chemistry facts and saw some awesome experiments! I sat front row with the kinder kids.

A shout out to my student Wes. He correctly answered a question about liquid nitrogen! Smarty Pants!

Keep Reading!

Parents, it is VERY important to make sure your child is reading every night. The homework books that come home every night are on their independent reading levels. In most cases, your child read the book at least one time with me while at school. Sometimes, we are able to read them many times. Rereading is something good readers do. Before, during, and after reading, you can stop your child and ask them comprehension questions. This is important with fiction and nonfiction books.

Also, keep practicing those kinder sight words. Some students have already moved on to first grade words. 

I AM VERY PROUD OF ALL OF MY STUDENTS FOR THE PROGRESS THEY HAVE MADE SO FAR THIS YEAR! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
